Veneer

Veneer is recognised as one of the most economical method of utilising timber and through its network of suppliers Hanson & Beards Ltd has access to a comprehensive range of decorative veneered 'layons' from sustainable sources.

Veneer 'layons' are produced form thin (approx. 0.7mm) 'flitches' and can be supplied in differing cuts depending on the customers' requirements. The individual 'flitches' are hand selected and carefully guillotined for width and height. These are then stitched together to create a 'layon' which is pressed on to the calibrated substrate the door and finished with 3 coats of Bio Coat satin UV lacquer.
